This piece was worked on three times. First with black pen to tell the inital story. Second with color and a retell of the story. Labels and letters were added the third time. When the color was added this student was able to retell with many more details and new vocabualry. The green face showed the girl vomitting from the big waves the boat was on. The different colors in the wave represent the various colors in the sea. "You know, ocean is not only blue. and Sun is not only orange." |

A deep look at Dr. Dog gave students the opportunity to represent this favorite character using their own ideas an perspective. We were able to look at 60 different drawings of Dr. Dog and notice different details in each one. |
